History
Knockout Roses are a repeat blooming shrub rose which is gaining popularity because it is easy to care for and disease resistant. The Sunny Knockout Rose is the 7th new addition to the series of hybrid roses which debuted in 2008 by breeder William Radler.
Characteristics
The Sunny Knockout Rose has a 3" flower with 5-7 petals. The blooms is a bright yellow that quickly fades to a cream color. The flower blooms early in the summer through late fall or the first frost. In the fall the foliage is a deep burgandy violet color with orange reddish hips in the winter. The average mature growth height is 4-5'. The Sunny Knockout Rose is bushy, compact and rounded with a green semi-glossy foliage. This drought tolerant plant is highly resistant to mold, mildew, blackspots and Japenese Beetles.
Uses
Sunny Knockout Roses thrive in humid confitions and are the most widely grown family of roses today. Uses can include taking advantage of ther anti-mildew properties by dispersing them among other, more sesative plants in the garden. Plant anywhere you have 5 or more hours of direct sunlight each day.
